Starting Fresh

I'm starting fresh.

I attempted to catch up on all the 2010 weddings, but I failed. I deserve an F. I always strived to be an A student. So this is very hard to swallow. There have been many times that I have wanted to jump on the blog and post a quick blurp from a recent wedding but I didn't allow myself to do it. Why not you ask?? Because I felt pressure to not post anything new until I caught up on the old weddings. I'm weird like that. I put lots of undo pressure on myself (just ask my husband ... hehe) I was so overwhelmed with how many old weddings I needed to post that I did not know where to start. Therefore, I never started. So I am releasing 2010! I am giving myself permission to skip ahead to 2011. To start fresh. I am so sorry to the 2010 bride's and groom's that I did not get to. I must move forward with my life. Whew ... a weight has been lifted :)

Shutterfly + FREE CARDS = Christmas Joy

I'm taking a break from my normal wedding posts to let you know about Shutterfly's awesome Christmas card promotion! Shutterfly is my go-to website for all things photo! I've used them for Christmas cards, birth announcements and photo prints over the years. It's just so easy to upload and organize photos on Shutterfly.com. I'm really looking forward to making a photo book of my daughter's first year of life. And if I'm a good mom (hehe) I'll do one every year! It seems like such a great way to showcase all our of favorite photos. BUT first I must get my Christmas cards out! Shutterfly is offering bloggers 50 FREE Christmas cards! They have such cute designs! You've got to check them out. You can even shop for Christmas gifts too!

How cute would it be to use a photo from your wedding as your Christmas card picture this year? I think THIS would be adorable! Use could even incorporate your new monogram!

Or maybe send out a wedding photo thank you card like THIS ONE to your guests. They would love to see a photo from your big day.

And lastly, you should make something for yourself! Take 12 of your favorite wedding photos and create a calendar like THIS. Each month you'll have a fabulous photo to look at! And if you're not into having a calendar of your own pictures, make one for your parents and in-laws. They will love it!

I have to share this too ... the groom "plays" the shofar (a horn that you blow). Susanna surprised him with a beautiful new shofar at the rehearsal and asked him to play it right be fore she enters during the ceremony. It was really neat! You'll see a picture of it below. The Bagpiper played out on the plaza as guests arrived and then in the lobby as they walked to the reception.

A Friday night wedding! We don't have the opportunity to do them very often because Saturday weddings have Friday rehearsals, which means we cannot do a Friday night wedding. But it worked out for Ashley and Cameron!

I loved working with sweet Ashley {and her mom} over the past year. Not only is she a gorgeous person on the outside, she couldn't be sweeter to work with!! Ashley and her mom worked hard to plan a beautiful wedding, but some things just can't be prevented. Ashley's original photographer {can you see where this is going} did engagement pictures for them, then disappeared. They could not be reached any longer. YIKES! Ashley and her mom decided that was too risky for the wedding day ... what if they didn't show ... so they asked me for some suggestions. I've come to know Paul Ernest over the past couple of years. He has been a part of some major life experiences for me and my family (couple photo shoot, maternity pics and newborn pics of our daughter). He is a fantastic photographer and an even better person. So I immediately suggested him to Ashley. She called and reserved him over the phone! A few short weeks later he was photographing their wedding! Love a happy story ending! I'll get to see Ashley and Cameron again in April 2011 when her Maid of Honor, Erin, gets married

What a fun wedding!!! I have been excited about this wedding since last summer. Luke and his dad, David Edmonson are among the best photographers I know ... they have done lots of weddings at First Baptist and they do lots of photography work for the church's Media Department. They are dear friends of ours here at First Baptist. Bethany's family also has quite a history here, with her dad being a previous staff member. So it was such an honor that Luke and Bethany choose to have their wedding here. April 17th (2004) just so happens to be my wedding anniversary too ... couldn't ask for a better couple to share the date with!

Bethany hired the girls at DFW Events to plan her wedding. (LOVE DFW EVENTS!) Everything was perfectly planned and organized. We had final walk-thrus and meetings, but nothing could prepare us for the events that took place the week of the wedding. Bethany (the bride) was coming home late from her shift as an ER nurse when she was involved in a serious car accident. Someone ran a red light and hit her! It gave everyone a scare ... Bethany was taken to the ER where she works (ironic!), but thankfully she only had a few scratches and some major soreness. We are so grateful that she was not seriously injured! Then the day of the rehearsal I came down with food poisoning and couldn't make it to lead their rehearsal. Thankfully Karen of DFW Events covered for me. {thanks Karen} At that point I wasn't even sure I'd make it to the wedding! I wasn't 100%, but I made it to the ceremony and I'm so glad I did. I couldn't miss it!

The ceremony was so perfectly "Bethany and Luke." The programs were unique, the stage decor was handmade (by DFW Events) for them and their personalities came through in every word that was spoken. Bethany's dad officiated, Bethany got choked up every time she spoke (so cute!) and Luke cracked jokes. It was a great representation of them.

Luke (being a very artistic and creative photographer himself) had planned a photo shoot for all of the guests outside immediately following the ceremony. He even had police officers to block off the street so that the guests could all stand together for the photo. There were also stilt-walkers involved ... artistic photo ... remember! Unfortunately, as soon as the ceremony began, so did the rain! It poured and poured! We came up with a back up plan for the picture and instructed the stilt-walkers to go inside the Criswell Center Lobby. I snuck on stage at the end of the ceremony to tell the minister where to send guests for the photo. It all ended up working out! I hope Luke is pleased with his group photo! I haven't seen it yet, but I was able to snag a picture of myself with one of the stilt-walkers :)

Loved the wedding, loved the vendors and loved the couple. Could have lived without the car wreck, the food poisoning and the downpour of rain BUT those are the things that will make April 17, 2010 so memorable.

Susan and Sam are the most precious couple! They just adore each other. They make each other so happy and it's evident in every single wedding picture (link below). Susan and her mother did an excellent job of planning the ceremony, even down to the staggering of couples on the stage. They worked long and hard on all the details and it absolutely paid off! Susan had the most amazing dress! I loved the petals on the bodice ... wait til you see the pictures!

The ceremony was God-honoring all around. Early in the ceremony the couples friends read various scriptures. Right before the message Jonah Werner (friend of the couple) sang a beautiful song he wrote; and after the exchanging of rings the entire congregation worshipped together by singing "How Great Is Our God."

The couple celebrated with friends and family after the ceremony at The W Hotel!

So March 20th was the day of "Allison" brides! Both our brides were named Allison ... thought that was a bit ironic! This Allison and Jason were such a beautiful couple! Really really stunning! They actually live out of state, Maryland and Virgina, so I didn't have much interaction with them in person until the wedding weekend. But they faithfully completed their pre-marital sessions each time they were in town and they were really on top of everything. I knew it would be a great wedding!

The ceremony was wonderful and personal. The bride's father read scripture and a friend sang a beautiful solo (with basically no mic check). She did great!

I was so excited for March 20th. It was finally Alison's turn to be the bride! Her sister Suzanne got married here in January {you can read about it HERE} and Alison performed her Maid of Honor duties perfectly. Now it was time for Suzanne to return the favor :)

The church decor was amazing! Holly Tripp and her team did a great job of organizing the vendors and getting things done perfectly and efficiently!

The ceremony was gorgeous! The Bride's cousins sang several songs ... they are such talented vocalists! The wedding party entered to "In Christ Alone." Alison's uncle did a very personal "Giving Away of the Bride" before Dr. Jeffress gave the message. We were honored to have the fabulous duo on the piano (T Bob Davis) and organ (Jerry Aultman) again!

The stunning reception was held at the newly renovated Union Station! I only saw pictures, but it was amazing! A barber shop quartet greeted everyone as they arrived. The bride's family had many other fun things planned for the reception!

Our last wedding of the day was Marcy and Kenny's. I loved the dynamics between these two! Marcy can get stressed out and worried about the details and Kenny calms her down. This was apparent at the rehearsal and we worked through the logistics of a large wedding party, etc. But none of us knew it the worried v. calm dynamics would be tested again on the wedding day!

Things had gone great all day long! Marcy got ready on time, girls had their pictures made, guys had their pictures made ... THEN ... it was time to start lining up (or at least make sure we had everyone to line up). I made my normal rounds - gave the guys a 15 minute warning, made sure the bestman had the ring (he did) and then went up to the bride's room to give them their warning, made sure the maid of honor had the ring (she did not). Marcy very calmly said "my dad has Kenny's ring." I immediately became a little nervous. Father's of the Bride (FoB) are usually not in a stable frame of mind 15 minute before their daughter's wedding. And I hate to see the sweet FoB's face when he doesn't know what I'm talking about or doesn't have what I'm talking about, which means I'm nervous to ask them questions most of the time. I've seen the blank FoB look a few times. So I carefully pulled Marcy's dad aside and asked him where Kenny's ring was. OH NO ... he gave me the blank face look! He had locked it up in the family safe in his closet at home and completely forgot to bring it. NO PROBLEM! We'll improvise ... use someone else's ring until Kenny gets the real deal. Word got back to Marcy and she would have none of it. She insisted that Kenny use his real wedding ring in the ceremony. That is totally understandable, but now we have just 10 minutes until the wedding. Long story short ... ok, long story even longer ... We consulted Kenny and he quickly tried on the minister, John Cullen's ring and it fit perfectly. He was game to use another ring for the time being. But Marcy just couldn't imagine that! Marcy's uncle went to their home, opened the safe and retrieved the ring. The ceremony started about 30 minutes late (poor guests) but Kenny got to use his real ring. And Kenny was so sweet to Marcy (and her father) about the whole thing! Such a trooper!

Once the ceremony did start it was beautiful! I loved the flow of her ceremony. Marcy's friend read scripture at the beginning, her sister read scripture at the end and a friend sang "Love Never Fails" during the Unity Candle.

The reception was held at the Trammel Crow Center.

Callie and Noah are the nicest people you'll ever meet! It was such an honor to help them plan their wedding. Noah is a teacher here at FBA and when he decided to get married, spring break weekend seemed like the ideal time. It meant we were going to have 3 weddings and 2 receptions in one day ... but with help from some FBA ladies and Susan Money, we were able to pull it off :)

The ceremony was beautiful. Callie requested purple up-lights in the Sanctuary to match her wedding colors. I think it added great color to the stage!

The reception was held in Coleman Hall. It may have been our last reception in that space. With the new renovations of our church campus only months away, we may have to re-purpose Coleman Hall. But we will always remember the wonderful wedding reception memories that were created there.

What is happening to me???

Here are all the weddings that I need to blog! Embarrassing, I know!

I have never been this far behind on the blog ... EVER! I am sorry to the 15 brides that are waiting to read their post. I'm sure you've written me off by now! But I really do promise that I will blog about your wedding (very soon). Keep checking in, please!

Not that I'm making excuses, well ok, maybe I am, but this being pregnant and losing brain cells thing is absolutely true! Yes, for those of you that do not know, I am expecting in July, July 17th to be exact ... 8 weeks and 1 day away to be even more exact! We are anxiously anticipating the arrival of Maren Harper Mazzola! I am basically in survival mode! So much too do, so little time (at work and at home)!

Remember the loss of brain cells thing I mentioned earlier ... well, I am no where near as efficient as I was, thus my blogging time is now consumed with regular day to day duties that I just can't get done as fast as I used to. I promise I will catch up before maternity leave (July-August), just in time to fall behind again for 6 weeks (but I'll have great help on the wedding front while I'm gone).

Don't even think it is only the blog that is suffering! There hasn't been a trip to the grocery store in about two months where I didn't have to go through the line twice. I simply cannot remember EVERYTHING at one time. I seriously thought I was the queen of organization before pregnancy ... and even through the first 6 months. BUT recently that has all changed! This baby girl is going to be one smart cookie ... she is definitely soaking up {more than her fair share} of my brain cells. But she is so worth it! It may take me a little longer, but I will eventually get it all done!

So just hang in there with me as I try to:

- survive

- do my job to the best of my ability

- prepare to be a mommy for the first time

- prepare for maternity leave

- prepare for a new lifestyle/routine when I return

- finish nesting

- and do some much needed blogging over the couple of weeks

Looking forward to a great Summer/Fall of wonderful brides , exciting changes to our church campus and a brand new addition to our family!

March 13 was an incredibly busy wedding day!!!! Apparently everyone likes the weekends on either side of spring break ;)

Selene and David kicked things off for us that morning with an 11am ceremony. Selene and her planner friend Jan did a fabulous job of planning and decorating for the wedding! Everything was so thoroughly thought through! I was impressed! Dr. Jeffress officiated the ceremony, David (the groom) and his men did everything they were asked :) and the wedding was just perfect!

The reception was in the Atrium, again the decorations were beautiful! Jan created an adorable sweetheart table for Selene and David to sit at {although they didn't end up doing much sitting}. We packed them a to-go box so they could enjoy their lunch when they left.

Jamie and Trey's wedding was our second one in the Sanctuary on March 6. Jamie actually grew up attending FBA (the K-12 school here at First Baptist). Her sister was married here and it was Jamie's turn! I just loved getting to know Jamie and her family! So sweet! The wedding was beautiful and the people were gracious (for both wedding) ... can't ask for anything better :)

Jamie and Trey choose "How Beautiful" to be played as they walked up the stairs to the stage. Always one of my favorites because I had it in my wedding!

Christy and Jason were married {way back} in March! I'm just finally getting caught up on my blog. Jason's father is Eddie Fargason, who leads our Sanctuary Orchestra at First Baptist. He is uber talented and put his skills to great use for his son's wedding. Eddie invited the orchestra to play during the ceremony, so you will notice in the pictures below that we did not clear the stage like we normally do for a wedding. They had close to 50 musicians!!! Eddie even wrote some special arrangements for the ceremony; and perfectly timed out every beat of the processional. The music was wonderful! Christy and Jason choose "Revelation Song" to be played while they knelt and prayed together. Then the couple left to a 50-musician arrangement of the "Stars Wars Suite" ... it was really really cool!

The reception took place in The Atrium; and just wait until you see the groom's cake {pictured below}. It was a great morning ... an early morning since the ceremony started at 10am ... but a great one!

Rachel and Joshua were married on a cruise in December (how nice!). But they still wanted to celebrate with their First Baptist Family so they threw a reception in February. It was pretty close to Valentine's Day so they went with a red/love theme. Rachel has quite an eye for decorating and knows exactly what she wants! She was "hands on" the morning of the reception ... organizing and designing every table. I think it turned out fun and unique! Rachel and Joshua enjoyed every minute of it! I met a new photographer! His name is Edmond Bollo. He is new to Dallas, but not to photography. He was originally an international photographer in places like China, Cameroon and France. Most recently he lived/worked in the Oklahoma area, but just re-located to Dallas. He called me to begin networking here. He was interested in seeing the church and getting his name out there. It just so happens we have other connections too that we realized once we met ... kind of neat! Anyway, he is super-nice and is looking for clients in Dallas! Emily and Jared are the most thoughtful people!!! The first time I met them Emily brought me the most delicious homemade Martha Stewart Cream Cheese Brownies. I still think about those brownies :) From that day on Emily, Jared and their families have been a delight to work with! I absolutely loved everything about the style of their wedding. Just look at these beautiful picture and you'll quickly get the idea ...

Stacey (at The Wildflower) set up the Chuppah for the first wedding and then decorated the Chapel and Atrium for Emily. It was a day of Stacey, which can only be a good thing!

They choose for Psalm 103 to be read and "How Beautiful" played during the lighting of the Unity Candle! It was just a perfect ceremony!

The reception was wonderful. Emily and Jared choose a sit-down dinner served by waitstaff. We served French Chicken Crepes with rice pilaf and green beans, Filet Steak Dinner with oven roasted potatoes and green beans, and Eggplant Lasagna. It was such an enjoyable event! Emily and Jared were able to sit down and eat with their guests then walk around and talk with EVERYONE! Emily's mom made cute little Texas themed place cards for each guests with a ribbon to indicate which entree they had chosen. So well thought through Gaddis'!

It didn't end there ... well for me it did ... but the couple had an after party with friends in Deep Ellum after dinner.

Ivy Quinones & Matthew Dingemans

Well this was a first ... we've had bride's that were a little under the weather, but we've never had a bride with pneumonia on her wedding day! Ivy is such a trooper! She spent the Friday before her wedding at the hospital! There was even the possibility she wouldn't make it to the rehearsal. The rehearsal can go on with a bride, the wedding can not! Ivy ended up showing up for the rehearsal to watch. I know she felt awful, but she hung in there! She made it through the wedding day okay too! My heart just went out to her because I know she has better visions of her wedding day. Matt was so patient with her ... so sweet!

The ceremony was full of unique things : a bilingual ceremony, Time of Worship led by a family friend, Chuppah, and the incorporation of the families. I love when couples do things a little differently! Ivy and Matt's parents stood under the Chuppah with both ministers for the entire ceremony. They had the best seats in the house (well, actually they stood). Everything was said in English and following in Spanish. It made the ceremony a little longer than most, but it was well worth it for Ivy and her family.

I hope Ivy has fully recovered and is able to enjoy the wedding video and pictures (even though she didn't get to enjoy the wedding to it's fullest).

This couple rocked!!!! Angie was a bridesmaid in a wedding here almost two years ago! And is friends with a bride that got married here one month ago. I was thrilled when Angie contacted me about getting married here too!! Angie and Dustin are Forney-ites {aka from Forney} and I'm learning that Forney is quite the happenin' place. All the couples we had from Forney (and there have been lots) have been awesome, fun people! I knew Angie and Dustin would follow the pattern when I heard that their reception was going to be held at The House of Blues! So cool! Neither one of them take themselves too seriously! Gotta love an {appropriately} goofy couple.

Before the major partying began, the couple had a worshipful ceremony in Heritage Chapel. The music was thoughtfully chosen and was beautiful. Their hometown Pastor, Sean McKean, officiated and made it extra personal. And the couple invited their parents to pray with them during the ceremony. I love all the personal moments!

I'm not quite sure where to start with this one! I guess I can start with WOW ... I have never seen the Sanctuary look like this before. A large team of people worked many many hours to transform the Sanctuary into this ...

It was amazing!

Suzanne is one of my sister's very best friends and I know the family very well, so I had quite a bit of insight on this wedding. Lots of ideas and lots of time were spent preparing for this weekend. No detail was overlooked!

The music was beautiful!!!! One of Suzanne's bridesmaids sang "How Great Thou Art" and Dan's brother sang and played the piano for "Revelation Song." Dr. Jeffress officiated and the wonderful T. Bob Davis and Jerry Aultman wowed us all with their music talents.

Their gorgeous reception took place at the Fairmont Hotel. In fact, the Fairmont is just across the street from the church (even connect undground via a tunnel), so the florist decided to line the sidewalk from the to the Fairmont with candles.

Organized, Detail-Oriented, Thorough, Stylish ... those are just a few of the words that describe this bride! Katie and her family are dear friends of mine. Katie was my next door neighbor growing up. We were quite a few years apart (I was closer in age to her 3 older brothers) but I got to watch Katie grow up. She really has become a beautiful woman inside and out! I enjoyed getting to connect with her again now that we are both older. It was a complete honor to help her coordinate her wedding. Katie and Doug (and their families) thought of everything! They did most of the decorating themselves and it turned out perfect!

The ceremony was performed by Doug's dad (who just so happens to be a photographer too). Katie's grandfather prayed over them at the very beginning of the ceremony and her brothers all opened the doors for her grand entrance. Since there were three brothers, we used 2 at the doors and one was on dress duty to make sure her train was smooth. He did great!

The Atrium was so well decorated too. They choose to do a hot chocolate station, perfect for a chilly January afternoon. They had yummy funfetti cake and all the gummy candy you could ever want! It was so relaxed and enjoyable.

Katie and Doug choose to see each other before the ceremony to speed pictures along. It really does save a TON of time after the ceremony. BUT I can relate to all the brides and grooms that don't want to see each other until that special walk down the aisle. I didn't see my groom before the wedding and if I had it to do all over again I would still choose to wait. To each his own!

What a fun wedding to be a part of!!! Natalie and her family are very involved at First Baptist. In fact, Natalie's mother, Pam Brewer, is the Women's Ministry Director. Her dad is a deacon and Natalie and Paul are in the Young Married Dept. It was a First Baptist Family affair!

Every detail was thought out and thoroughly planned (thanks to Sheila Burke!). Natalie went with a yellow and brown theme. She thought of everything! Even down to individual favor bags of carmel corn for the wedding party with brown and yellow stickers! Really, they thought of everything. Natalie's dress was beautiful with a huge bow in the back!

The ceremony was a combination of Natalie's past at First Baptist and Paul's past church in Forney. Two minister presided over the ceremony. I forgot to mention above, Natalie has a very talented brother (Ben) who married a very talented girl (Kristen)! Why does that matter you ask ... because they performed a powerful rendition of "How Great Thou Art." SHE CAN SING! WOW! They both currently perform at the Sight & Sound Theater. Pretty cool! They are also newly weds {we'll forgive them for not getting married here and choosing a beach wedding}.

The ceremony decor was beautiful, but be sure to check out Joseph Mark's blog for pictures of the amazing reception at the Ritz Carlton! AMAZING!

Christina & Tony had the privilege of being our very first wedding of 2010! I really cannot believe it is already January of 2010! Where did 2009 go? Christina first contacted me about getting married here in January of 2009 ... and here were are a year later!

Christina and Tony were so great to work with. Their ceremony was beautiful, complete with a personal message by their home church minister, Glenn Meredith. The music was just amazing!! Ben Thomas, Rachael Meredith and Carol Meredith preformed a beautiful arrangement of "Take My Life" while Christina and Tony lit the Unity Candle. It was such a worshipful time.

The celebrated with their guests at Edison's afterwards. I've never been, but this is the second wedding in 3 months to use Edison's for their reception. Maybe you should check it out too?

LOVED this couple! I mostly worked with Hollyn and quickly knew I liked her. She is so sweet and uber photogenic (as you'll notice below).

The wedding was perfect! And it should be ... Mark's mother is a wedding coordinator! Mark and his family are out-of-staters, but that didn't stop the entire line up of groomsmen from flying in from all over the country. Most of the groomsmen were from the north and just couldn't get over how many times we say "ya'll" down here. It got to be quite funny! I loved the jewel-toned colors that they picked for the wedding. Everything looked great.

Mark's childhood friend, Cliff Jordan, officiated the ceremony. He made is personal and powerful. He did a wonderful job. They also choose to incorporate "The Blessing of The Hands" which I wrote out in a previous post {HERE}. They also used "I Will Be There" by Steven Curtis Chapman during the lighting of the unity candle. That song is a long time favorite of mine.

Their reception wasn't far away at City Place.

Carol and Chad are long time members of First Baptist. In fact, Chad is the Theater/English teacher at FBA. Between the wedding and the last weekend of FBA's play "Wizard of Oz", Chad and Carol have been extremely busy!

The wedding was beautiful! The ceremony was personal and sweet. Scott Ward officiated; and was also Carol's Youth Minister back in the day. That always makes for a great and unique message. Chad's cute son Trent was the ring bearer and the emcee at the reception. He was hilarious!

The reception was held in The Atrium. With Chad being an English Teacher and Carol and English Major they both "kinda" like to read! They made the cutest centerpieces out of classic books. And now they have an expanded library of all their favorites. So clever!

I've never heard so much "bar" talk, let me clarify ... the Bar Exam. Christiana and Austin met while working for Judge Jennifer Elrod. Austin went to Yale Law. I'm not sure where Christiana went, but they just moved to Salt Lake City to work for/in/with The Fifth Circuit. Forgive me if I completely butchered that description. Anyway ... the weekend was filled with lawyer friends, discussions of the bar exam, and reminiscing about difficult courses and professors. Apparently most of the wedding party went to law school together. REALLY INTERESTING STUFF!!!

Christiana and her family grew up at First Baptist, so naturally she choose to marry here. We were honored to host! The ceremony was sweet. In fact, Judge Elrod sang 3 beautiful songs! She is a very talented lady! Christiana and Austin had their reception in Coleman Hall. You'll notice in some of the pictures, they changed out of their wedding attire before they left. And they walked to the Fairmont! Super cute pictures from Sil Azevedo below ...

Jennifer and Jason have come along way in the past year. It was exactly one year ago today that they reserved their Oct. 24th wedding date. Soon after that Jason was involved in a motorcycle accident. He really messed up his leg and was in a wheelchair when I first met him. He was determined to walk at the wedding; and he did just that! Jennifer stood by his side every step of the way and I know they are a stronger couple for what they've been through together this past year.

Jennifer's parents are the epitome of southern sweetness! They made me feel like family as soon as I met them. Jennifer and Jason were married by "Brother Jerry" who also married Jennifer's parents 30+ years ago! And one more interesting tid-bit ... Jason's grandfather, Don Pardo, was the voice of Saturday Night Live!

I always have to share unique things about each wedding with my blog reader ... Jennifer chose to include harp music in her ceremony. We have a harp and church harpist, but for some reason, the harp is not a highly sought after wedding instrument. Most brides go for the organ or a string quartet {or both}. Jennifer did use the organ, but asked the harpist to play the prelude music and for the Seating of the Mothers. I realized that people really respect the harp. As guests arrived {and the harp being played} you could have heard a pin drop! No one was speaking they were all just peacefully listening to the harp. So serene!

First Baptist Dallas Renovations

Dear {worried} FBCD Bride & Grooms,

You may have recently heard ... we are about to embark on a rather large building renovation here at First Baptist Dallas. Our Pastor, Dr. Jeffress, revealed the plans to our congregation this past Sunday morning. Don't worry ... we are still in the fundraising phase of the building campaign, but I've heard that construction could begin as early as Fall 2010. The Sanctuary, Heritage Chapel, Slaughter Chapel and our reception venues will remain intact. Of course the campus itself will be under construction; and parking will be affected. The estimated date of completion is 2013. I am not sure how we will proceed with booking NEW weddings over the next 3 years, but the weddings we currently have on the calendar should not be affected! Luckily, we have not booked many Fall 2010 dates yet.

Not only is First Baptist Dallas about to get a face lift, the city of Dallas is too! With the construction of the new Arts District and the Woodall Rogers Park it is such an exciting time to be downtown! Please realize there will be some road closures over the next few months surrounding downtown. Please check the church site {HERE} for alternate routes. Continue to check the website as routes may change as progress is made.

This wedding had it all ... 14 bridesmaids, 13 groomsmen, 2 ringbearers, 1 flowergirl, a 5-person acapella ensemble, 2 scripture readers, a unity candle, practical jokes between the groomsmen, a ringbearer's bodily noise disturbance during the ceremony {I'll let you guess what happened there}, a judge, a congressman, a minister's first wedding to officiate {and a partridge in a pear tree :) }

Kim works for a congressman and let me tell you, she has her stuff together! The ceremony was very traditional, but had an extremely personal feel to it. One of the most meaningful and moving ceremony moments I've experienced lately happened at this wedding. Kim's father passed away a few years ago and during one of their last conversations that talked about Kim's future mate and how the most important thing in marriage is Christ and a spouse that will "stand by you" always. In tribute to her father, Kim asked The Smith Family (dear friends of her father) to sing "Stand By Me." I know that Chance and Kim will stand by each other forever.

One of our minister's John Cullen did pre-marital counseling with Kim and Chance. Through their time together they formed a special bond; and asked John to officiate. John has not been on staff here too terribly long and had not yet been licensed. He made sure to get things taken care of prior to October so that he could marry them. It was John's first wedding to officiate and he did great!!!! There were lots of elements in this wedding and he executed the ceremony perfectly! I'm already looking forward to the next one he does! Thanks John!

I've known Allison and her family for so long! Allison is a grade younger than me and her sister, Amy, is one of my sister's friends. Allison also grew up at First Baptist. She's been in quite a few weddings here over the years so it was fun to see her have her turn. Matt is a great guy and he has a fun job with the Texas Rangers! It was great to see so many familiar faces at their wedding.

Scott Ward officiated the ceremony and two friends sang at different times during the ceremony. They choose to use "A Page Is Turned" by Bebo Norman as one of their songs. I LOVE that! I used that song in my wedding too. It's a good one folks! Allison choose a unique color combination, but it really really looked great. The flowers were bright reds and pinks. The bridesmaids dresses were teal. The flowers popped against the teal dresses!

Their reception was at the Fashion Industry Gallery (FIG). I've always been so curious about the venue. They are located directly across the street from the church. I finally got to tour the space with Allison a few weeks ago. It is just a neat place! If you're looking for a modern loft feel check it out!

Kristi and her mom did a fabulous job of planning this wedding and thinking about all the little details! Kristi's mom deserves much of the credit since Kristi's job has her out-of-town most of the time. With the help of their vendors and family friends everything happened according to schedule all weekend. They brought in an antique desk for the sign in table and they did an amazing job decorating it! Kristi's mom surprise the couple with the "K" and "J" letter wreaths and personalized bottled water labels for all the wedding party. Like I said ... it was about the details! Wes Hamilton of Lakepoint officiated the ceremony.

* Did you know - if you plan to incorporate letters into your wedding decor, like a monogram letter wreath, you should use your first name initials at the ceremony and your new last name initial at the reception. Since you are not officially married yet when guests arrive at the ceremony you should not use your new last name initial. Much like you would not put your bridal portrait out at the ceremony because guests have not seen you in your dress yet. You save the bridal portrait for the reception. You also save your new last name initial for the reception.*

Cool Couple! Boy does Christopher adore Rachel or what?!? He wept as she walked down the aisle with her father ... at the rehearsal. I love that! So I knew neither one would have a dry eye at the wedding. {I was right}

Rachel and Christopher are Apple gurus. They work there and just radiate Apple coolness. They have all the latest iPhone gadgets ... who knew there was a iPhone case that actually charges the phone. Too cool! Chris' stepfather is a chef for Wolf Gang Puck. They had there rehearsal dinner at Reunion Tower and their reception at The Nasher. Enough said!

The ceremony was so sweet. Dr. Jack Deere officiated (he is the pastor of Rachel and Chris' church). Rachel and her father walked down the aisle to the neatest song. I had never heard of it ... "So You Are To Me" by Eastmountainsouth, but it was such a powerful song for such an important walk! Rachel was crying, Chris was crying ... it was truly lovely!

I just visited their photographer's blog in hopes of sneaking a peak at a couple of their pics. They weren't posted yet, but after looking around on his site I know they will be amazing!

Christi & Charlie had a very FALL wedding! The colors, flowers and food felt exactly like fall. I loved it. Christi and Charlie are members here at First Dallas and have a tight knit group of friends here. Everyone's love for the couple was evident by the amount of work they all put in! The bridesmaids were decorating and taking care of Christi, while the guys were hanging out and keeping Charlie occupied (since he could not watch the Texas game). One of their friends even re-wrote the lyrics to Wicked's "For Good" and preformed it during the ceremony. Such a sweet group of people.

The reception was great. They choose a thanksgiving meal of turkey/ham, salad, green bean, corn, mashed potatoes and tea. The guests really enjoyed the food and fellowship. Charlie and Christi purchased an extra cake for Charlie's daughter, Halle. She got to help them cut the cake. It was so cute. I'm sure she felt so very special!

What a precious couple! I loved working with Nathalie over the past year. She started as a bridesmaid in Meredith's wedding here last September ... and one year later Nathalie was married here {and Meredith was a bridesmaid}. While planning the wedding Nathalie lived in Oklahoma and Dan lived in Chicago. Since the wedding they both moved to Chicago.

I loved the music they chose for the ceremony. Nathalie's two sisters sang a beautiful version of "To Make You Feel My Love" and she used The Vitamin String Quartet recordings for the following:

Such a great couple! Meredith and David have great families and friends! The bridesmaids were the nicest, most complimentary group of girls I've met in a while. They were so sweet.

The ceremony was beautiful. David has 2 sisters and Meredith has 2 brothers ... all 4 siblings read scripture after a time a praise and worship. Daniel Foster played a version of "Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee" on the piano as Meredith walked down the aisle. Daniel has been in {or played in} lots of weddings over the past year. We were thinking back and he has probably participated in at least 5 weddings at First Baptist over the past year. That's A LOT!

It rained ALL day! But everyone kept a positive attitude. The reception was not outside, but required guests to walk outside to get there. I hope everyone had rain boots and an umbrella!

I'm so excited for Bernice & Stevens! They came to us because they needed a place to get married. Not only did they find that, they also found a church home! Bernice & Stevens attended The Nearly Wed Seminar and through that ministry Stevens accepted Christ and they both joined the church! So much to celebrate!

Their wedding was full of meaning and family! The bridesmaids dresses {and the dress of all the female guests} were beautiful. Different family members and friends were asked to participate in the ceremony. Stevens cousins read scripture, Bernice's grandfathers prayed, and a family friend closed the ceremony in prayer. I am excited to see the plans the Lord has for Bernice & Stevens!

Jennifer and Kevin's wedding could easily be featured in Martha Stewart's Wedding Magazine. It was perfectly and sweetly executed! I believe their wedding was an exact reflection of Jennifer. She is just about the nicest person you'll ever meet! I just loved the simple elegance of each and every detail. The wedding took place in our smallest chapel, Colonel C.C. Slaughter Memorial Chapel. It is such a quaint place for a ceremony. It holds 50-60 guests; and Jennifer and Kevin packed it out! The amazing Bella Flora did the flowers. The alter arrangements were gorgeous! The crisp white and green color palette was followed through in the ceremony flowers, reception decor, cake and candy bar.

The ceremony was beautiful. They hired a string trio and had 2 family friends sing "The Lord's Prayer." The chapel is small enough that it doesn't need a sound system. The string trio and 2 vocals were a perfect musical combination for the size of the chapel. There is also an organ in the chapel, but was not used for this wedding. Kevin's sister lit a memory candle in honor of their parents. I love when couples add their own personal traditions to their ceremony.

The reception took place in our Grace Parlor. The perfect sized reception for a Slaughter Chapel wedding. Jennifer choose great vendors for her reception. The string trio played background music, she had a yummy white chocolate fountain, a beautiful cake by Fancy Cakes {more on that below} and a fun candy bar done by Bella Flora!

It was a perfect afternoon wedding and reception. Kevin and Jennifer enjoyed themselves and were able to visit will every guest! I wish them the best as they begin their live together!

OH let's not forget Fancy Cakes ... her real business name is "Fancy Cakes by Lauren" but it's fun to call her and her business "Fancy Cakes." You may recognize her from The Food Network Challenge. You can read about her experience on her {BLOG}. Fascinating! She is shooting another this week that will air in the fall. Good Luck Fancy Cakes!

Here's another precious couple. I just loved Paige and these families! I have quite a few memories from this wedding ... some slightly nerve racking, some of them funny, most of them wonderful.

Nerve-Racking: Paige doesn't even know what I'm about to share {we hid it from her on the wedding day}. The soloist arrived pretty early on Saturday to rehearse her songs. I noticed her sitting near the piano waiting. I wasn't sure who was accompanying her on the piano, but I knew she was waiting for someone. I also knew the church organist was playing the organ for the ceremony but had not yet arrived. I finally walk over to Lana (the soloist). She asked me where the organist was and mentioned that she brought the music and was hoping to rehearse with him before the wedding. I made a few phone calls and realized that Jerry (our organist) didn't know he was playing the piano for Lana or he would have arrived early. {OH NO} The wedding was to start at 6pm ... it was already 5:30. Jerry, being the most talented musician I know, sight reads the music. Not just one song, but two! Lana sang great! Jerry played great! And hopefully no one ever knew that it was Jerry's first run at the music. THANK YOU JERRY! You are awesome.
BRIDES: If you want/need Jerry to accompany a vocalist please make sure they connect before the wedding day. Jerry is always willing to practice ahead of time; and would love to have the music in advance. There was a slight miscommunication between Paige, Jerry and myself. But thankfully it all worked out!

FUNNY: {short version} I totally thought Jeris' name had a "v" in it. It doesn't. Where I got this I do not know. I called him "Jervis" at the rehearsal and typed "Jervis" on everything for that weekend, including the program I gave to the minister, Alan Lynch. Alan knew this couple, thought Jeris' name was Jeris the whole time but was really confused when he saw the program I typed up with "Jervis". He became worried that he had been calling him by the wrong name for months. No Alan, it was just me that had it wrong, very wrong. Alan called him by his correct name during the cermeony. WHEW! However, the Media guys went straight off my sheet and typed "Jervis" on the wedding audio CD cover. Please forgive me Mr. & Mrs. Queen. You should receive the CD in the mail soon!

WONDERFUL: The ceremony was perfect! Paige looked amazing! The music ended up being wonderful. Jeris was a great sport despite calling him the wrong name. The decor was beautiful. And now they are married. Yay!

Paige wins "Best Bridal Arms". Her arms were looking good holding her bouquet. She did P90x for the 90 days leading up to the wedding. She was so pleased with the results and actually enjoyed the program. Sign me up!

La Duni Cake

The first time I heard of La Duni was when Leslie's twin sister Natalie used them for her December reception a couple of years ago. I've eaten at the North Park location and the food is just as good as the desserts.

I see wedding cakes every weekend; and honestly, I rarely taste them anymore. Cakes are usually pretty but lacking in the taste department {don't get me wrong ... there are exceptions}. And this is one of them. I love chocolate, so I had to taste the groom's cake. OH MY! It was divine. But I have to admit, the bride's cake "took the cake" this time. It had vanilla cake with some sort of mocha filling between each layer and topped with meringue. It tasted like tiramisu. It was seriously the best cake I've ever eaten. so good that I had to take a piece home to my husband. THAT NEVER HAPPENS. He took a bite, but I finished it off. Anyway, if you are looking for an outstanding bakery ... you've got to go to La Duni. They have a location on Knox St. and one in North Park. If you don't want to splurge on a whole cake, try one of their cupcakes! You'll fall in love.

August has been full are amazing brides, ridiculously sweet families, and fun wedding parties!

Leslie and John's love story began in First Baptist Dallas' Sanctuary Choir. Leslie grew up at this church and John is fairly new (a year or two). If I remember correctly, John ended up attending a church service here by accident. He ultimately joined and jumped into many areas of service ... the Sanctuary Choir is only one of them. Luckily Leslie was also in the choir; and the rest is history. Well, I'm sure there's lots more to their story, but rather than making it up {which would be fun} and I'll skip to the wedding day!

John & Leslie asked Dr. Jeffress to officiate their ceremony; and made it very clear that they wanted the wedding to be more of a worship service. I loved the order of service that they came up with! It was so reverent. Dr. Jeffress gave a mini-gospel presentation before the wedding even began. After the presentation Dr. Doran Bugg, our Minister of Music, led the congregation in a time of praise and worship. THEN the wedding processional began. An 8 person ensemble from the choir sang "The Lord's Prayer" then the couple knelt for a special time of prayer. I believe John and Leslie's vision was executed perfectly ... the Lord was definitely made known.

So I met Megan {and her sweet mom Pam} back in December and was already looking forward to her wedding day. They are just the friendliest people. Ever. and I knew it would be a beautiful wedding. I quickly realized that August 1, 2009 was the same weekend my friend was getting married in Houston. UGH. I was torn! My husband was in the Houston wedding and I just really couldn't miss it. We had a great time catching up with friends there, but I hated missing Megan & Michael's wedding here. Therefore, I do not have any pictures {sigh}. I can't wait for Huy to post some on his blog! I know they are going to be so good.

I turned the wedding day reigns over to Kathy & Amber {who always to a stellar job} so I wasn't even worried ... just a little sad to miss out of the Jones/Doss fun.

Until I come across wedding photos, check out Megan's awesome bridal shots! I love the commentary that her bridal photographer wrote on his blog. After reading his post you'll understand how Megan ended up with several photographers at her wedding :)

What a sweet and delightful wedding! Dan is the father of one of our wedding hostesses, Amber Arnold Volbeda. When Amber shared her father's engagement with me I was thrilled! Linda and Dan met through a family friend and both attend church here. I wasn't immediately familiar with the name "Linda Jordan" but then Amber said she is THE HAT LADY. I then knew exactly who she was. Linda owns and wears the most magnificent hats you've ever seen! She was on a mission to find the perfect wedding hat ... and that she did!

Linda & Dan had an intimate ceremony officiated by our former pastor Mac Brunson. After the ceremony the couple celebrated with family and friends at Maggiano's.

Amber, It was fun to share this special day with you and your family!

COLOR!

I love color! I love paint, nail polish, spray paint ... anything that involves color. In fact, I think everyone needs a can of high-gloss red spray paint. Oh, I definitely have one! And don't think for a second that I'm scared to use it. There are several accessories around my house that have been transformed by red spray paint. I LOVE IT. My sofa is a shade of avocado green. My living room walls are a calm teal color. My hand bag looks like {this} . I'm a sucker for OPI polish. Get it? I like color. A lot. I was thrilled to find the Pantone Fall 2009 Color Forecast. It's delicious!

Brooke Chapman & Jaron Ricketts

I remember Brooke from when we were younger. We both grew up here at First Baptist. Brooke is a couple grades younger than me, but I remember her and her family well. It was fun to re-enter their lives for this wedding.

Brooke choose blue/navy for the bridesmaids dresses and vibrant shades of pink and green for the flowers. It looked great! A family friend {who happens to own Blue Lotus} did the flowers. She even added electric candles down the aisle and on the ledge below the stained glass. Great idea! A friend of Brooke's sang "Shine On Us" after the mother's entered. And then the pastor lead the guests in a congregational reading of The Lord's Prayer at the end of the ceremony. The ceremony was sweet. I'm sure they had a wonderful time at The Aboretum afterwards.

The first word that comes to mind from their wedding is FAMILY! Chelsey is one of 7 children! All of their names start with a "Ch" (Chelsey, Charity, Chandler, Chase, Chessa, Cherise and Chalen). Pretty neat! Bryan's family isn't THAT big (4 kids), but it is tight knit! Chelsey's mom did all the flowers ... as if being the mother of the bride isn't enough work!

Chelsey picked pink and black as her wedding colors. The ceremony went so smoothly. They asked Pastor Jeremy Webb (Chelsey's former youth minister) to preform the ceremony. He drove up from Austin, while his wife held down the fort. Jeremy and his wife have a 2 little ones and twins on the way!!

I hope everyone had a great time at the reception! Can't wait to see their wedding pictures, which will be posted soon!

The Sanctuary

Blast from the past ... Callie and I went to high school together almost 10 years ago. When she got engaged she began considering First Baptist for her wedding. She came across this blog, realized that I worked here and the rest is history! It was so much fun to reconnect and help her put her ceremony together.

Unfortunately, the planning process wasn't easy for Callie and her mom. They booked all their venues/vendors and thought everything was good. Just a couple of months before the weddings things started to fall apart. Their original reception venue double booked {but ended up helping them secure another venue, thank goodness}. Then their original florist just disappeared. BUT everything ended up perfect. It was a great day!

The ceremony was so beautiful. I loved the variety of pink shades Callie chose for the wedding. Callie and Brandon created a slide show to "A Page Is Turned" by Bebo Norman. {LOVE THAT SONG! Used that song in my wedding} The slide show played right after the mothers were seated. Callie's sister sang and WOW she was soooo good! Callie and Brandon meet at the BSM at Tyler Jr. College, so they asked a dear friend/professor Dr. Mark Jones to officiate. It was such a lovely ceremony! I'm sure the reception at The Tower Club was wonderful!

Marla and her mom did most of the wedding planning because Chris lives in Germany! And now Marla lives there too :) Marla hired the fabulous Micki Novak of Dream Weddings. I never have to worry about things falling through the cracks with Micki. She is so organized and thorough! And she's just so much fun to work with!

The ceremony was beautiful. Marla's friend Tag Green officiated and her friend Kelly Womack sang two songs "Knees to the Earth" and "My Beloved." Chris' sister read 2 scriptures. Everything was just delightful and joyful. As it should be!

I was told ahead of time that Marla's dad was an emotional guy. He arrived at the rehearsal with tears in his eyes. He welled up off and on all weekend. Giving your daughter away is hard work, but even harder when she then has to move to Germany. It was an emotional day for everyone! And I can't forget Chris' family ... his parents were precious! Marla and Chris are so very loved by their family and friend.

Cindy meticulously planned out every detail of her wedding. She paid attention to all the little details. In the end, her wedding vision was achieved! She used all different shades of purple throughout both the ceremony (flowers and programs) and the reception (flowers, linens and favors). She even designed the scroll work on the wedding cake!

Cliff and Cindy seem to balance each other out well. Cindy is so thorough and organized and Cliff {and his groomsmen} bring the sense of humor.

The ceremony was beautiful. Cindy's brother and Cliff's father co-officiated the ceremony. The music was amazing! They incorporated a variety of musicians, but it all blended beautifully. They used the organ, a trumpet, a string quartet, a piano and two vocalists. There were 3 Ringbearers and 3 Flowergirls. All were nieces and nephews of the bride and groom.

The Atrium looked great! Cindy rented purple linens form Ducky Bob's to carry out her color scheme. She even rented 2 small kids tables and purple kids chairs. She made adorable gift boxes for each kid with their name on it, filled with toys and candy. SO CUTE! She put disposable cameras on the kids tables for them to snap pictures at the reception. I would love to see some of those photos :) Goodness, Cindy thought of everything!

She had wonderful vendors too!

** JUST SO YOU KNOW ... **
When you rent linens through the church we use "skirting" on the serving tables so that the linen reaches the floor. We do not use skirting on guest tables, rather, there is about an 8-10 inch drop on the linens (so guests don't have tons of linens resting in their lap while they sit at the table). Cindy preferred the serving table linens to drop all the way to the floor with out using skirting, so she rented extra large linens from Ducky Bob's. See the difference.

We {me, my assistant and mostly the minister} were all starting to sweat at 5:50 because we did not have a bride! Michael and his groomsmen arrived at 4pm, but where was Erika!?!?! and her bridesmaids!?!?!?! We made some quick phone calls and figured out that she was in route to the church. She arrived right in time! We took her straight to the back of the center aisle and started the ceremony! They did not take any pictures before or after {and honestly, I never even saw a photographer...yikes!}. I hope that these are not the only pictures they have of their ceremony!

As soon as the ceremony was over they headed off to their reception at the Westin City Center.

Another life long church member! Jennifer and her 3 siblings grew up at First Baptist. It was so special to see her get married here. I actually got to know Eddie fairly well over the past few months because he did a lot of the planning! Jennifer is a busy nurse, often working night shifts. Eddie did a lot of the vendor follow up for her. What a great fiance! One of the bridesmaids hand made the wedding programs. Aren't they adorable!

The Sanctuary

Kevin grew up at this church; and has so much family here. Sarah did not grow up at First Baptist but has quickly been immersed in the church and it's history. Kevin always seems to know the inside scoop about the happenings of the church :) If you ever want to know anything about anything, ask Kevin!

The ceremony was full of family friends (Andy Swanner on the organ, Kathy Hollingsworth did the flowers, Kevin's aunt Kay organized the family pictures, and Sarah's minister officiated). It was a lot of fun!

Sarah planned a surprise departure for Kevin. It all came to together just moments before the ceremony. She rented an old-time car to drive them from the church to the reception. {Apparently Kevin loves old cars, but hadn't planned on using one for their wedding} Sarah arranged for the car to be ready when the ceremony let out. We instructed the guests {without Kevin knowing} to line up on Ervay St. for a "fake" departure. Then we directed Sarah and Kevin to the car. Kevin was shocked! First he was shocked that his family didn't stay for post-pictures, then he got the pleasant surprise Sarah planned. They took a quick drive around the block while the family and wedding party came back in the Sanctuary for pictures. After pictures, the group headed to The Old Red Courthouse for the reception!

Side note: I started getting annoyed at how my pictures of the Sanctuary always look so red. They don't look red in the photographer's pictures. It is all about the quality of the camera and the setting. Just to show you that the Sanctuary doesn't have such a red-glow about it in person I took the same picture using each different camera setting {on my cheap digital camera}. The first pic isn't red (yay!) but it is really dark (darn!), which is why I always post the red-glowy {I know that isn't a word} picture on my blog. The other 5 settings made the Sanctuary dark too. I promise that the photographers' camera are sooooo much better than mine and their pics of the Sanctuary are gorgeous!

Mark and Katelyn are a perfect match. They share such a similar sense of humor!! They are organized and on top of things, but they don't take life too seriously. I love that about them. Mark's family has such a great legacy at First Baptist. His grandparents, parents and aunt/uncle/cousins have been active member here for years. It was an honor to participate in Mark and Katelyn's wedding!

Their ceremony was beautiful and full of great music. Mark is very involved in the church orchestra and had a hand in choosing their wedding music. They had the cutest flower girls ever! Oh, they were so sweet and precious.

The reception was held in the Atrium. The couple decorated the space the day before and did a great job! They also handmade hundreds of favors {you can see pics of them below}. They looked great! The ribbon and M&Ms had the couples name and wedding date on them. LOVE the personal touches. They hired the church string quartet to play during the reception. And I have to add ... the cake was so yummy!!! I rarely even taste the wedding cake, but heard all the guests raving about how great the cakes were, so I gave in. They were right!

You've got to check out Paul Ernest Photography! He isn't exactly new to the industry. He's been behind the computer for years but now wants to be behind the camera. He has been in the graphic design industry his whole career, editing and designing for other photographers. But he is proving he has a real eye for photography! But it was tons of fun! I enjoyed working with Maggie, her mom Barb and the crew at Diamond Affairs. It was a perfectly orchestrated event.

Maggie's family is from Dallas (First Baptist) and Dan's family is from Minnesota. Maggie and Dan met at Iowa State, where Maggie played Soccer. They are so cute and perfect for each other. Maggie's uncle sings in a Quartet. They sang two songs during the ceremony. Their version of "The Lord's Prayer" was powerful!

The couple's reception was held at The Four Seasons in Las Colinas. They had guest park at the hotel and shuttled them over for the ceremony and back for the reception.
